bbArch was awarded First Prize in an open design competition for this prestigious project. Nizampur has the distinction of producing seven National and Asian Games–winning Kabaddi players for India, and the MCD chose to give the urban village an indoor stadium to better prepare its upcoming players.
The design, though modern in its aesthetics, is deeply rooted in the cultural and symbolic ethos of the village and representative of the aspirations of its end users. The project is currently awaiting approvals from the MCD.
